CPABLE CREW 2024

CPABLE Crew 2025 James Update.png

James is a 5 year old boy from Napoleon, ND. He is the son of Eric and Stephanie Becker and brother to William (7) and Cody (2). James has a variety of medical conditions, which include Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder, and Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). James was born 10 weeks early due to a placental abruption and spent 35 days in the NICU, followed by another 2 weeks due to a fight against RSV. James suffered a brain injury due to the abruption and deprivation of oxygen during his traumatic birth. Two days a week, James makes the trip to Bismarck for his outpatient ST, OT, and PT, and goes to his school services four days per week.

James absolutely loves playing with his two brothers, whether they are shooting nerf guns, playing ball, or a fun game of hide and seek. He almost always gives his hiding spot away because he cannot contain his excitement and giggles over being found and getting to choose a new hiding spot. James is incredibly smart and understands everything he is told and loves to tease us, thus making him the jokester of the family. Even though his vocabulary is extremely limited, he does a great job of communicating his wants and needs. Some of James' favorite things to do include going outside, taking a drive, reading books, playing with his brothers and nannies, cuddling mom, and helping with chores around the house such as folding laundry and putting it away. What James lacks in vision, he makes up in his ability to hear everything. You can never sneak by James without him knowing! Even with the many struggles James fights through each day, he is always willing to offer a "Hi!" and the best smile to anyone he passes.

CPABLE CREW 2025 Emma Update.png

Emma is an 11-year-old girl from Lincoln.  She is the daughter and only child of Dan and Roxy.  Emma has spastic cerebral palsy affecting her legs and left arm.  Toward the end of pregnancy, it was determined that Emma was not weighing in where she should, so a special ultrasound was ordered on the umbilical cord.  With that came a result that she was not getting the nutrition needed and she would need to be removed right away.  She spent 3 weeks in the NICU due to hemorrhaging in her brain and an enlarged heart from fighting to stay alive in the womb.

Emma uses a powerchair to get around and has a need for speed!!

Emma goes to school full time as well as several extra appointments after school like PT, OT, and therapeutic riding.

Emma is a social butterfly and will talk your ear off.  She enjoys the outdoors, especially swimming and camping.  Emma loves to do arts and crafts and play Roblox with her friends as well as other games when they come over.  She likes to listen to music and sing.  She also likes to participate in adaptive sports.

Emma loves spending time with family and playing with her 2 dogs, Waylon (Boxer, age 4) and Bandit (Yorkie/Pomeranian, age 1).
